NHS Travel Vaccinations
It is with regret that we are no longer able to provide travel advice due to an increase on the demand for our nursing services. Travel advice and vaccinations are not NHS services, and many GP surgeries do not provide these services. If you are travelling abroad and need advice regarding vaccinations you should attend one of the travel clinics (listed below under 'travel Clinic's'). We will only be able to provide the immunisations which are available on the NHS (Polio/Typhoid/Hep A) if these are required. You will firstly have to attend a travel clinic for travel advice or visit the NHS 'fit for travel' website at www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk
If you require any of the NHS vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to fill out a travel form at the surgery. The travel form must be completed as early as possible - a minimum of 8 weeks before you travel. If you are travelling in less than 8 weeks time then you will be advised to go to a travel clinic to have the vaccinations.
